1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
ft at sugar maple. Man this beer is awful, totally underattenuated, flat, soo malty and oxidized, baffled by the reviw below.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Served a bit too cold with a creamy, thick, off- white head and a ton of lace. Color is a clear copper amber. Aroma is fain (bad nose on my part) but does have a good hop & malt character. Flavor’s much stronger than nose, slightly more bitter than sweet up front, then more bitter and some tang. Body is good tho carbonation a bit soft. Finish is heavy bitter and long with some booze. Decent beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the annual Chicago Beer Society picnic, and self served to a clear, plastic shaker showing a clear & bright amber hue, with frothy & lasting, light tan head foam. The nose was orange & ruby red grapefruit, some sweetness, and smooth malt. Medium+ bodied, with decent carbonation, some malt sweetness, hefty but tempered hop bitterness, and noticeable alcohol presence. A nicely done DIPA.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Sugar Maple. A dark amber/bronze presentation. Drinks with a super smooth character, definitely leaning toward the rich malt baseline, but so well balanced that I could guzzle it. No hint at the nearly 10% ABV whatsoever, so a dangerous brew, too. Excellent! (#5160, 7/6/2013)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Still finishing my notes from the 2011 MWBF. Not a big, hoppy smell to it. I get a little citrus and pine. Nice, thick malty taste to it. Very orangey amber color and some lacy foam in the glass.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at Destihl. It poured a copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of moderate complex hops. The taste was of medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Tasty.
