Sampled at GABF 2016 with Paul and Larry. Pours a deep red body with thin lace. Mouthfeel is very tart but the acetic character dominates all other flavors.

GABF 2016. Appears hazy amber/rose with a small head and light lace. Aromas of raspberry and oak. Hints of pepper, wheat bread. Taste has an intense sour note upfront with a load of raspberry tartness to compliment. Some pepper spice couples with the yeast/funk to provide a bloody mary-like note in the mid-palate. Full mouthfeel lets the fruit linger in the finish. Solid American sour!

Draft. Light peach with no head. Strong aroma of tartness with some berry fruit notes. Light body with intense tartness upfront and throughout, some sweetness and yeast funk, and a hint of raspberry. The tartness is a bit over the top but otherwise good.

Tap sample @ Midwest SourWildFunkFest. Tart lactic, sweet fruity raspberry aroma. Hazy amber with a small off-white head. Smooth tart lactic, oaky vanilla, light berry, vinegar, and spicy flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Sampled at GABF. Pours a hazy orange with some white head. Big, sour nose, brown sugar, berries, grass, vinegar. Vinegary flavor, apple, raspbery, grass, vitamin C tablets. Full bodied, acetic finish. A little too vinegary.

GABF. Cloudy red pour. Aroma of sour raspberry jam, a little bit of lemon and a light cheesy, lactic funk. Sour raspberries, lactic sourness, fruity as hell, lots of wonderful things being made by this brewery!

GABF 2012. Tried this baby a few times over two nights. Pours a hazy reddish appearance with an off white head. Big raspberry, a bit seedy, vanilla, like oaky, vinous nose. Super tart, raspberry, red vinous, funky, quite sour flavor. Very nice stuff.

On tap at GTMW - Pours rosy amber with a ring of white head. Nose is raspberry--real fruit and seeds, with a touch of caramel. Mmm...a fruit bomb! Taste is mineral raspberry, light malt--real clean. Vinegar tart on the finish, with Smarties sweetness. Light and effervescent in the mouth.

Circling around immediately to the Destihl tent I could not believe the line was so short. This sour was almost as excellent as the previous one though at this level I am just splitting hairs. Either are world class sours worth the drive to Bloomington, IL, to check out in person.
Aroma / Appearance - A sem-transparent reddish brown base was cloudy and murky. Raspberries fresh from the vine were almost as bright as a glass of 3F Hommage. This one holds nothing back.
Flavor / Palate - Raspberry jam on white toast hits the throat with raw power. Dry and vinegary it is almost too much to handle. Drunk in large quantities it might get abrasive but four to five ounces was the perfect amount. I definitely need to make the drive to their brewpub some time soon.
