draft... I expected a ton out of this beer and just wasn’t there... murky gold not much of note... I get a bunch of rotten mangos which should be good in a sour but they just aren’t right, too light in flavor and tartness overall... average

(Draught) Pours a hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel popcorn, powdered sugar, pineapple, and musty forest. Flavor of brett, herb, grass, pineapple, and sourness with a dry finish.

tap at fobab. oaky pears, lemons, earthy fruit. tart lemons, and some light dusty fall leaf funk. peculiar vegetal note that was slightly offputting. not as good as a couple other destihl beers i had at fobab, but not bad either.

On tap at GABF. Pours with a hazed golden hued body and a white head. Aroma of pineapple, acidity, funk, and wet leaves. Flavors are of blue cheese like funk, strong acidity, brett, pineapple. Dry with lively carbonation. A bit of leather towards the finish. Bright.

On tap at Fobab 9. Pours hazy golden with white head. Aromas of some fruits and light tartness. Flavor was musky and had some light fruit and tart flavors. Not a whole lot going on here.

On tap poured hazy straw yellow with a nice white head, aroma was very fruity with notes of tropical pineapple, peach, apricot and pear, some nice lemony tart notes, going into a touch of sweet biscuit. Taste is not quite as complex as the aroma, but some nice peach and pineapple notes goes into some tart lemon, sweet biscuity bread, finishing sweet and slightly tart. Nice brew.

On tap at GABF 2011. Pours a somewhat cloudy golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is large oak and vinegar, some funky fruit. A really nice mix of sweet tropical fruits, pineapple is huge and sour funkiness, some aggressive sourness but the fruit balances it out. Very cool.

Draft at GABF. I’m a big fan of the base beer and this creates a nice continuity for sure. Pours a hazy pinkish orange. Nose has the mixed fruit cocktail and Brett funk going on. Light lacto in the nose, clean and refreshing. On taste, lots of nice tart notes, not over the top sourness. Fruity and well balanced, definitely a good jumping off point for sour beer. Really good.

On tap at GTMW 11. Hazed yellow with no head. Tart nose citrus, pineapple, some oak, sweet nice. Tart acidic earthy. Lots of pineapple. Simple but nice. I like this one a lot. I should have gone back for more pours of this one. 8/3/8/4/16

Tap at GTMW 2011. Poured to a yellow gold colored body. The aroma and flavor was mostly of pineapple and grapefruit with a acetic sourness. The palate was tart. I’d like to try this again, but alas, I can’t.
