Well - This beer has been around a while, and as such all the strawberry flavor has left. Being said, this is a great tasting brett table beer. Very dry with a quenching tart finish on the end. Not much on the nose other than a bit of brett and some wheat, slight hint of straw. Imagine rose de gambris without the fruit, different in a positive way.

500ml bottle. Sour funk aroma with hints of strawberry and white wine. Pours golden colored with a thin, but retentive white head and good lacing. Starts with sweet strawberry and white wine flavors to go with the lively mouthfeel of the heavy carbonation. Finishes smooth but quite tart with a bit of funk to it. Second beer I've had in this series and it's definitely starting to grow on me.

Light strawberry vinegar aroma and pink gold color with a slight head. Tastes more like coconut than strawberry with a lovely smooth bitter finish.

Draft pour at Brouwers Big Wood festival. Pours a golden color with a tint of red. A ton of candy strawberry flavor right up front. The runts candy flavor strawberry. Very sweet initially but decently sour flavor. Fresh strawberries aroma as well. This one is a little different from my usual sours. Light wheat flavor background but full of fresh berry flavor. Really good beer here.

Tap. Hazy golden. Very tart and sour. Strawberry comes after the sourness hits. Awesome stuff. The strawberry flavor is done just right, which isn’t usually the case. Doesn’t come across as artificial at all. One of the more sour beers I’ve ever had.

Smells of malt and strawberry. Taste is mild sour mixed with a good dose of tart strawberry. The tartness and light bitterness of strawberry tops stay in the mouth for a while. Low carbonation with very slight foam.

Draft at the Beer Authority.
I came to this without high hopes, but had to try a taster just to see what Destihl was up to. One sip and fantastic!’’ -- I had to have a glass. Light pink-tan pour, modest head. Nose of wild strawberries and sour lemon. The flavor is right at the sweet spot for a fruit sour. Every bit sour enough to be legit as a sour (rather than some vaguely sour-ish fruit beer) but no more. There’s not inner battle to get past the acidity and enjoy what lies beyond (lookin’ at you, Almanac). Just a delicious blend of strawberry flavor with a straightforward but never overpowering sour ale. Not a huge funky complexity here, but that’s alright. It’s just really darn good. Spendid!

I had this at Oak Park Microbrew Review in 2014 and it was the best beer of the afternoon for sure. A lot of strawberry beers have a tendency towards this overripe/rotten fruit flavor or, if they use artificial flavors, just smelling like Jolly Ranchers. This beer, on the other hand, had great, naturual strawberry flavor and furthermore had honest to goodness malt beer character to it as well. It is subtle, slightly tart and well done from top to bottom. This is a beer that will do well as both a small sample and as numerous full servings. Definitely, this is a must try for fans of the style.

Taster at naperville ale fest, actually only beer I got a second pour of. Sour and tart and a bit sweet. Lots of strawberry flavor but not forced or overdone. The sour is quite restrained and it is very easy to drink. Awesome sour.
