Cask. Amber body with a short, off-white head.Aroma of bread, toasted grain, honey, orange, apple, spice. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Taste of sweet cider with some tartness in the finish. Apple and spice along with hints of orange, honey. Sweeter and more flavorful than the Saison De Ruisseau. Far less dry than a classic saison, but a good drinking beer. Enjoyable.

Cask pour on tap at Destihl’s 1st Barrel And Firkin Fest (Normal, IL). Pours a rich well hazed deeper orange amber pour, healthy glow, good haze, with deeper frothy offwhite head that dies to some thicker ring, laces ok overall. Aromas are sweeter and zesty, bready and pale malts, touches of honey, orange, and gentle yeast. Sticky sweet elements, dough, and honey, and orange. Touch of yeasty spice, apples and pear. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, with some mellow dryness, spice up front. Touches of honey, orange, and gentle citrus grows into front and middle. Touch of honey, fruity apple and pear, gentle bready malts. Gentle spice, dryness, and straw into middle and backend/finish. Offering some interesting balance, good flavors, albeit a touch sweet for me personally at times. Orange zest adds some life, some good flavors. A touch sweet at times but backend wins me back. Gentle carbonation and yeasty elements give some good play. Nice.
