Our seasonal Pumpkin Beer is made by using over 200 pounds of pumpkins which are first roasted and caramelized in our brick oven and then added directly to the mash, providing obvious yet harmonious pumpkin qualities which are not overpowered by hop character. The beer is copper to dark orange in color. Cinnamon, coriander, allspice, nutmeg and juniper combine for a beer you only wish your grandma could make.

On tap at the brewpub: This pours a hazy amber body with a respectable head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly about the spices - allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon are evident - with just a little caramel sweetness. The flavor is interesting, a clean malt base with the usual pumpkin ale spicing,but then a hint of the juniper and coriander step in - just enough to keep the other spices from getting overbearing. Actually not bad, for a style that really doesn’t thrill me.
