on tap-pours a big tignt white head that laces and cloudy straw/pink color. Aroma is mild strawberry. Taste is tart/sour strawberry, light malt, some sweet peaks through at the finish. Better as it gets to cellar temperature. OK effervescence.

Draft at the Champaign location. Finally had a chance to try the base and it didn’t dissappoint. Pours a hazed pale gold with a sticky white head. The nose is toasty grain and then a huge strawberry quality. Really fresh and popping, like jam. On taste, the strawberries keep up their dominance and offer some nice light acidity and a Smuckers Strawberry jam note. Perfectly made strawberry beer, right up there with the best of them.

Cloudy orange pour with a touch of pink. Strawberries deliver on the nose with banana esters and a touch of cereal. Flavor is mostly bubblegum with a slightly oxidized mild citrus. quite dry and lack of expected sweetness. Likely just past its prime. Nose was great but lacked flavor.

[Tap] Golden pour with a hint of pink and a large foamy white head. Aroma of berries and grains. Taste is of strawberry, tart grapes and light malts. Grainy astringency throughout. Fine champaign-like carbonation. The palate is pretty average. Some spice in the finish, but all of the flavoring in here is overshadowed by tart notes and somewhat watery body. Seems like it could use some more malt.

On tap at the brewpub (Bloomington, IL). Pours a very murky straw with a touch of berry pink, frothy thick bright white head stays a thick film and laces very well. Aromas are grainy cereal malts and a touch of fresh strawberry sweetness, mellow but nice. Initial is light bodied, a prickly carbonation mingles with a fruity strawberry, a touch sweet and a touch tart, with a firm light malty body, mellow cereal grains with a touch of wheat. Light fruit acidity, goes down easy with a bite of that seemingly natural strawberry. Tart and sits well. A tasty summer treat more of a fruit beer though.. And a damn good one at that.

thanks to kan, pours semi transulcent gold with no head. nose is subtle, mild pear, green grapes. flavors are again very very subtle, mild fruit, and dry finish, mild sour character. there’s almost nothing happening here, like drinking a glass of the water you used to rinse out your juice glass. in some ways like a mild dry chard.

From the infuser at the GTMW. Golden yellow with a thin white head and a handful of strawberries right in the glass. Aroma of strawberries and malt and not much else. Taste of mild strawberry, sweet malt with little to no hop presence. At least the strawberries were tasty as I was getting a little hungry by this time.

Pour is a golden with a large fizzy head. Aroma is ok with some bready malts and a nice fresh picked strawberry. Flavor is rather dull with a biscuit malt and a ever so faint amount of the strawberry. This is the second beer i’v had made from strawberries and in both the fruit just does not come to the fore front. Oh well this brewer makes outstanding other beers.

STL Microfest. Pours hazy orange with an off-white head. The aroma is crisp with semi-sweetness with strawberry and light spice. Light body with micro-carbonation that is mouth filling on the finish. The flavor starts with spicy hops and clean light malt and hints of strawberries. The finish has more strawberry essence and lingering spice. A nice blonde ale.
