Cask pour at Destihl. The oak is a great addition to this beer. Pours the same near-black with tan head. Nose shows some oak spice, faint vanilla, resiny and herbal hops and grain. On tasting, the light astringency from the oak helps to cut through the slickness and butterscotch. More balanced and emphasizing the rye a bit more. Interesting and much better than the original, imo.
