3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Three Cellars. Clear amber with a thin off-white head which fades into a ring. Aroma is dank and resinous with pine, forest floor, cat pee and mild floral hops. Taste is pale and hoppy with pine, floral hops, pale malt and a medium bitter finish.

on tap, pours a very nice golden yellow with a big dense head that laces well. nose is malty, sugary. attack is a combo of pine and hop with malt and maple sugar. an odd mix imho. finish is a bit sweet and muddy. a good beer but not a great IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub (Normal)
My second sample was an excellent IPA overall. While not a huge hop bomb or as bright as examples from Sun King, Fat Heads, etc, it still is refreshing and well balanced. I would have gotten more at the GTMW if there had been time.
Aroma / Appearance - A bronze base contains idle carbonation and a slight eggshell head. Dandelions, freshly cut grass, and pine resin melt in the air. The malt bill forms a solid foundation.
Flavor / Palate - A creamy bitter mouthfeel hangs in the throat after just a few sips. Resin, oak, and cream tickle the tongue and throat. The finish tastes like polish licked off of a piece of hardwood minutes after being applied. The earthiness puts this in a different territory that makes it a fine batch.

Not much we tried at Destihl was that impressive, though this was one of the exceptions. Probably because I generally like anything with Citra hops... Iím easy to please. Medium bodied, grapefruit and grass. Tried with Nick in Normal in 2012.

Draft during theAlumís wedding. Thanks! Pretty awesome here, mostly late hopped. Pours a hazed gold with a persistent frothy head. Nose is bright, lots of tropical fruit, citrus and resin. Clean overall, light malt. On tasting, nice level of medium-high bitterness and tons of juicy hop flavor. Crisp and clean, tropical fruits and citrus. Malt to support. Superb IPA here.
