At Fountainhead. Quite good really. Dry, fruit, sour, yeast, tart, all hit at different level at different parts of the sip and all fully enough to be interesting and mildly enough to be polite. Serving: Tap

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sour with a touch of musk and funk. Right from the first sniff, you get an idea of the character of this beer. However, it lacks some of the body and fullness of the Belgian originals. Not bad, not great.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft sample. Pours a nice clean, light amber. Aroma is funk and sweet tarts. Taste is overly sweet, light tart, and very grainy. But bad, but not something I would be able or want to down a full glass of.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Flemish Amber is a highly attenuated, amber-copper colored sour ale that marries wild lactic sourness with a wonderful, earthy bouquet presented by a blend of farmhouse yeast strains. The earthy flavors are reminiscent of fresh tobacco and white peppercorn and combine with the high acidity and tartness to present a very developed, dry, sour ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Toasty sourness on the nose. Lightly funky vinegary acetic notes with some caramel and definite Belgian yeast undertones. Golden amber pour no head or lace. Flavors of soured Belgian yeast toast and caramel notes on top if some vinegar and lactic notes. Medium carbonation. Lingering Belgian yeast and sourness. Interesting beer seems a little confused. These dogs are about to fight at Chucks. I'm going to start taking bets.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light orange with a big head and some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is oaky & fruity with some tart lemony character, some light funkiness and just a touch of vinegar.
The flavor is lightly sweet up front, very earthy and very oaky with a dry finish. The beer is tart and pleasantly sour with a light touch of acetic balsamic like flavor.
