Jummy ! thanks David !

overall sweet and sticky, lovely notes of raisins, maple syrup and sweet malts, paired with some chocolate and small roasty flavours.
Not too much booze, and little cognac in aroma and flavour, pretty nice !!

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, cooked vegetable, soya, dried fruits, syrup and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, sweet, oak and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A slow gusher, producing a black body under a dense, finger-thick light tan head. Boozy nose with licorice, roasted malts and some dried fruits. Seeing that the beer is made with raisin syrup doesn’t surprise me. Boozy in the mouth as well, with roasted malts, some soy sauce and sweet licorice. Full-bodied, warming and soft on the palate, with a lasting finish. A tasteful and pleasant beer I’d very much enjoy again. It’s warming, but I think the alcohol level suited the beer just fine. 121130

Medium dark brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy chocolatey toffee aroma, simple but harmonic. Sweet-dryish cocoa and spicy burnt taste with roasty grainy notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel goes sharp at end. Dryish cocoa and alcohol aftertaste with earthy sugary minty notes. Highly drinkable and surprisingly smooth. (0.33l bottle, from gr0ve.)

Slightly brown semi fizzy head. Aroma is sweet and boozy, dark malts, dark sugar, dark dried fruits, coffee, alcohol, licorice, oak, caramel, grass, hints of citrus peel. Taste is very sweet, dark malts, masses of sugar, dark dried fruits, coffee, ashtray, even more sugar, caramel, coffee, licorice, almonds, hints og citrus peel and nice warming alcohol, and did I mention lots of sugar?! Medium bitterness, well hidden alcohol in the taste. Not bad, it’s just sweet, sweet, sweet!!

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2013 Hard to be objective, I love this beer. Bought bottle from Barleywine CPH, 2012. Intense Imperial stout, chocolate, caramel, molasses, dark fruits, rich and thick. In it’s richness and intensity, it reminds me of Dark Lord. I wish I had another bottle.
