Bottle. Very dark brown/almost black with brown. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and a little coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, syrup, liquorice and sweet.

19-MAY-2012, bottle @home, from "Fish @ Beer". Black as night with lasting brown head. Lovely nose, very sweet roast, loads of chocolate, a little alcohol, prunes, dried fruits. Very full, very sweet, a bit woody dusty, coffee. Low carbonation, rough, really a monster. Fun:-)

Botella. Black indeed that colour! Lots of dark fruits and roasted malt in the aroma along chocolate and alcohol. Thick mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet indeed with dark fruits and roasted malt, chocolate and liqourice. Sweet well lasting roasted malty dark fruity chocolate finish with soem alcohol. THick brew indeed!

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a small beige head, Aroma, cognac, roasted, raisins galore, fruity, quite sutle aroma, some grassy notes, figs, prunes, dates, quite sweet, molasses, light acidic notes. Taste: Very sweet! oily sugar burn, molasses, boozy, roasted, cognac, too sweet! grassy dried fruits, sugar water.

Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, licorice, chocolate, acetone and notes of smoke. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sticky with sweetness. Overall a good beer.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Desne brown head. Aroma of caramel, liqourice, roast, coffee, raisin and some wood. Flavour of coffee, liqourice, brown sugar, roast, coffee and cocoa. Meidum to full bodied. Ends on roasted and caramelly bitterness.

Bottle sheared by faroeviking ... thx bmio venno... :) It pours jet black with a small tan head.... The aroma is dark fruit, hard roasted malt and licorice... The flavor is sweet, yeasty, caramel, bite alcoholic and licorice...... nice very nice...

Bottle. Pours jet black with a tan head. The aroma is lots of dark fruit, hard roasted malt and liquoroce. The flavour is very sweet and yeasty with notes of chocolate and liquorice. Very heavy!

Bottle 330ml.

Clear dark black brown colour with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, dusty, meat - smoke notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, syrup. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120128]

Bottle. Low fluffy off-white head. Pitch black body. Powerful spicy coffee liquorice roasted malt wood aroma. Flavor without the expected alcohol sharpness but instead it has a well balanced mixture of roasted malt coffee and loquorice.

Bottle at Valhal 2012. Almost black with a light brown head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, licorice, smoky, woody), quite some alcohol. Aroma heavy sweet, medium spicy, light bitter. Almost full body. My rating #2.700.
