Stockholm Beer & Whiskey 2012: Stor kryddig ton som har tydlig hetta. Komplex maltig smak med en vinös överton av tydlig russin. Lång eftersmak. sååå gott!

28-FEB-2013, bottle @home, from Fish & Beer. Murky brown with lasting, creamy, tan head. Aroma is sweet malt, dark fruits, caramel, alcohol, tobaco, shoe polish (the brown color!), wood, cigars. Extremely complex. Taste the same. Sweet with loads of malts. Full body, soft carbonation. A little hoppy bitterness, but nothing compared to many other Det Lille Bryggeri. Fantastic barley wine. One of - if not the - best from Det Lille Bryggeri.

Bottle at Schouskjelleren. Deep red, low carbonation. Rich fruit aroma. Sweet, spicy, warming alcohol - a bit of everything. Fennel and plums.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear copper colour, small head. Floral nose with dates and dark bread. Sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Sweet raisiny malt with good depth, balanced with resinous bitter hops. Warming and rich, yet mild. A gem!

This is lovely. Pours a ruby, maybe chestnut brown. Only slight head. Strong burning spirits in the smell, but not the taste. It’s figs glüwein and the texture is fleeting and mysterious. Plums and toffee, sweet malts and strong warming alcohol. The word is "yum".

Sample at SBWF 2012. Slightly hazy amber with a small white head. Very sweet aroma and taste with malt, syrup, honey, dried fruit, wood and some orange. Also notes of licorice in the warming finish. A nice beer to sip.

Bottle. Low fluffy white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy amber body. Sweet malty aroma with notes of lemon. Bittersweet malt caramel lemon oranges flavor with a low carbonation and a long bitter finish. Very well balanced thus hiding the high alcohol contents.
