Bottle at Valhal Beerfest 2013. Clear amber/red - offwhite head. Sweetness, barley, roasted/toasted malts, some knækbrød, bitterness, brown sugar, nutty, nice malty, oiley notes, some acid notes, nice.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel, raisins, prunes, figs, brown sugar, rum, dark bread and a touch of black-currant. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, prunes, figs, raisins, vinous and slightly burnt hints of Madeira wine, dark bread, black-currant and a warming finish with a generous resiny bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite a complex brew, with leanings both towards barley wine and Belgian quadruples, still with a generous hop bitterness. Excellent beer.

330ml bottle, many thanks to Skinnyviking. Pours an unclear brown-reddish body. Filmy beige layer leaving fair lacing behind. Smell of bread and sweet dried fruits. Sweet taste of biscuit, brown malts, and prunes. Dark fruity finish. Robust, a tad too sweet in the long run (hotel room, Copenhagen 30.04.2015).

Vignale (3208) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 31, 2015
Flaska från SB. 2012 vintage. Stor bra klassisk BW möter Klosterabt. Stora söta dofter och smaker av torkad frukt, russin, fikon, dadlar, karamell, honung, rom, madeira. marsipan, sötlakrits, anis. Lite lätt pepprig, lite kärva valnötter och lätt beska håller tillsammans med alkholvärmen ihop smakerna bra. Riktigt gott.

Flaska från SB. Nästan treårig flaska. Smak och doft av torkad frukt, farinsocker, karamell, romrussin, russin, valnötter, söt lakrits, fikon. Söt, rund och len, lite pepprig eftersmak. Mycket gott!

Habanero (3900) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2014
Bottled. Pours clear amber with a small, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of toasted caramel, dried fruits and licorice notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with bitter notes and alcohol. Medium bodied, oily texture and flat carb. A very nice Barley.

Splitenz (359) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2014
This is lovely. Pours a ruby, maybe chestnut brown. Only slight head. Strong burning spirits in the smell, but not the taste. It’s figs glüwein and the texture is fleeting and mysterious. Plums and toffee, sweet malts and strong warming alcohol. The word is "yum".
