Pours copper color with a minimal head. Aroma of ripe fruits, vanilla, some caramel malts, whiskey and wood. Flavor of caramel malts, ripe fruits, whiskey and wood. Decent, but the whiskey is a bit off here.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is whisey, alcohol, malt, caramel, dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, malt, alcohol, caramel, whiskey, dried fruit. Full body. Nice beer.

Bottled. Deep amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some stinging sweetness, some ripe fruits as well as mild alcohol and wood. Flavour is sweet malts, some alcohol, ripe fruits, mild peated and smoked wet wooden notes as well as some slight herbal notes. Smooth palate and quite easy to drink even though the high abv.

Pours clear deep amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and dried fruits. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long sweet, alcoholic, smoked finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, whiskey, wood, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is sweet and malty with some whiskey, vanilla, biscuits, nuts and wood. Medium to full body, warming alcohol, sweet finish. Nice but a little on the sweet side.

Bottle. The small, beige head sits patiently on top of a semi-clear, amber colored body. The aroma has dark dried fruits, caramel, some roasted hints and some boozy whisky hints. Hints of meatyness and quite evident hops too. In the flavor, I think the boozy alcohol is too evident, but it’s a quite nice one anyway. Dried fruits, caramel, some bitterness and hoppy flavors, and a touch of sugar too. Full-bodied, warming and pleasantly carbonated. Overall, a nice one, although I’d like it with less alcohol, and maybe a bit less sweetness. 120330

Aroma has whiskey, vanilla and sweet malt. Flavour has whiskey, alcohol, some vanilla and sweet malt. Good, although the alcohol pushes too much through.

Pours a deep copper colour with a white head. Aroma of heavy caramel malts, grassy hops and some light whiskey notes. Flavour of strong caramel malts, grassy hops, whiskey notes, wood and some berries. Whiskey comes through quite much. Nice barley wine with loads of wood.

Deep amber color, small white head. Vanilla-toffee, light hops and hints of leather and alcohol. Medium to full-bodied. Vanilla, oak, toffee and alcohol in the flavor. Yes, certainly some oak-based whisky here. Quite sweet and semi-alcoholic.

Pours dark orange with a small white head. Aroma has notes of malts, hops and slight hints of whisky. Taste is quite malty with heavy notes of whisky. Hints of oak and vanilla. Alcohol burns through in the finish. Quite boozy barley wine.
