Rich, deep red, small persistent head. Malt loaf aroma, including some raisins, rich, quite aged. A touch woody. Dark, can’t see throughit, small beige head. Rich in the mouth - lots going on. Suddenly there’s great deep roast that wasn’t apparent from the aroma, quite burnt and dry. Get some christmas pudding later in aroma. Lots of woodiness, quite a dryness to the finish. Has a great "wanna take another sip" quality. Way more roasted thean your average BW, but a worthy member of the group. Enjoyed every sip.

Pours copper color with a small head. Aroma of ripe fruits, some licorice notes, caramel malts and wooden notes. Flavor of ripe fruits, caramel malts and toffee. Very nice.

Bottle. Black colour with large creamy light brown mostly lasting head. Aroma is roasted malt with strong notes of licorice. Spicy flavor. Oily palate.

Hazy brown with a small beige head. Aroma heavy hoppy and malty (roasted, burnt, licorice). Flavor medium sweet and bitter from dark malts and hops, lot’s of warming alcohol. Almost full body, nice.

Aroma is rather rich with ripe fruits, some coffee, hops and sweet malt. Flavour has sweet malt, some hops, hints of coffee and licorice. Good.

250 ml bottle - pours deeb brown with a thin - aroma of roasted malt, candi sugar, caramel, raisins, dates & plums + slight oxy.Medium body with sweetness and immediate alcohol warmth from beginning to end. Taste of ceoffee.

330ml bottle, shared with kschep at Ørsted Ølbar & Cafe. Beige head with some retention, dark amber coloured body. Smell of dried fruits and semi-sweet malts. Roasted malty taste joined by dried fruits followed by a woody dry ending with the warmth for the alcohol. Full bodied. Perfect night cap (Copenhagen, 09.05.2011).
