Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding. Pours murky amber with a small, bubbly, off-white head. Settles as a tiny film. Aroma has oak, smoke, whisky, caramel, vinious, soft chocolate. Very low carbonation, fat and oily mouthfeel. Flavour is Very sweet, yet quite complex. Smoke, biscuity, caramel, vinious, plums, sæsons. Form oaky dryness, some piney hops. Again a good oak aging from Det Lille Bryggeri. Yum!!

#1492 bottle; Nose is very heavy oak, salt water, some asparagus, sharpie, almost stand-alone (dominant) highland note, chlorine, glue, tar whiff, feel is mediumwatery, carb is quite low, taste Is quite heavy juniper, glue, cola note, some cereal, apricot, plastic, some rotten fruit, rye note

330ml bottle kindly shared by kschep at Ørsted Ølbar & Cafe. Clear ruby dark body. Beige ring of bubbles to the rim of the glass. Prominent aroma of smoked malts. Smoked malts to the taste profile, too, but offset by dried fruits and mid-sweet malts. Warming alcohol to the long-lived ending. Good sipper (Copenhagen, 09.05.2012).

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a small tan head. Aroma is peated smoked and dark tarish. Peated, dark malty and smoked/tarish. Smoked and peated malty. Light sweetness and tarish finish.

Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Cloudy red/brown - white edges. Ashes, ashtray, smokey, wooden, high sweetness, raisins, fruity, brown sugar,bisquit, caramel, ok malty, recidual sugar, high smokey, light stickey body. Far too sweet. OK.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from BarleyWine in Copenhagen way back in May 2012. Pours deep brown with a soft, creamy tan head; much darker than the non-BA version. A bit of burnt wood on the nose, ripe and dark fruits, suggestions of peat. Big sweet flavor with an aggressive peat whisky punch, some molasses, rich bread, alcohol, brown sugar, leathery fruits. Full bodied with fine, somewhat creamy carbonation. Warming, almost hot finish with lasting, tongue-coating peat character, dirt, mild earthy bitterness, hints of cocoa, dried and leathery dark fruits, some smoked and charred meat, burnt sugars, burnt wood. Decent beer overall, but the barrel aging certainly hasn’t done the base beer any favors.

Bottled. Burgundy coloured. Unclear. Light beige head. Aroma: smoke, fruits, Spice, bacon. Flavour. Smoke whisky, fruits, Spice tar. Med to full bodied. Ends light moked and fruity.

Bottle. Deep amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is whiskey, malt, alcohol, dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, peat, heather, malt, whiskey, alcohol, dried fruits. Dominatet by whiskey.
