Sampled from bottle thanks to Joes. Opaque brown color with a dense off-white head that leaves good lacing. Smell malts, a hint of smoke and a hint of hops. Taste malts, some hops in the background and also a slight hint of smoke. Lively, a bit fizzy carbonation, low to medium body.

Clear sparkling, medium to dark brown amber colour with a average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration, licorice hops, caraml, burnt, malt, burnt caramel, over fizzy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is very lively and fizzy. [20121107]

Bottled@SBWF2012. Hazy brown colour, small beige head. Aroam is bready, earthy, caramelly and has some mild sourness in it as well. Flavour is fruity, earthy, caramelly and mildly spicy. A bit tart wooden notes in the flavour as well.

Tap @ SBWF 2012. Hazy copper color, nice brown head. Roasted, coffee, caramel, bit dusty notes in aroma. Woody, watery, hops and minerals in flavor. Nice bitterness.

Rich roasty caramel aroma, lots of fruity esters. Sweet, some freezer ice in the retronasals. Great bitterness. Very dry - woody and nutty. Finish very bitter, good noble hop bitterness. Maybe some chalky minerals crop up later, which takes some of the pleasure out of the drink.

Huge tan head on murky light brown body.
Very hoppy nose with grape fruit and pine. Also roast, coffee, and caramel.
Taste the same. Very hoppy and fresh for a brown ale. Not a fan of brown ales but this is very fine.

Bottled. Dark brown with an epic tan head. The aroma is just gorgeous: Sweet spicy, hoppy, malty - light roast, caramel, citrus, bread, gooseberries. The flavor is sweet toast, light notes of coffee and spicy hops, leading to a dry and bready light bitter finish. Medium body, a somehow slightly watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice one, simple perhaps, but very tasty.
