COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Denne øl er brygget i anledning af, at vi “Det Lille Bryggeri/Roskilde Øl” fylder 10 år den 1. september 2012. Denne øl er den 9. af 10 øl, som vi har valgt at brygge i denne celebration serie. 1 øl for hvert år.

Dark ruby. Not much head. Alcohol (and not only ethanol) in aroma. Taste is better, Dark caramel and so on. Nuts.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours almost clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of alcohols, fruity hops. Taste is fruity and hoppy, dominated by the alcohols, not my cupper.

Sigmund (4825) - Tau, NORWAY - APR 12, 2014
Shared bottle at local tasting. Cognac colour. Barleywine-like boozy aroma of molasses, oak and alcohol. Oaky flavour, fortunately not quite as sweet as I feared, decent hops.

Bottle from BarleyWine, pours a deep chestnut red-brown with almost no head. Nose is pear drops, toffee and something whiskyish. Palate is rich and winey, fruity, bitter with peppery notes, and a big drying alcohol bite. Dry and sharply bitter finish, with touches of honey and a woody barrel note.

0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Sweet aroma of prunes, raisins, pepper, cocoa and meat broth. Sweet raisiny an pruney taste with chocolate-caramel and meat broth. Very heavy, even 10 cl seems a lot.

0.33l bottle from Barley Wine. This is a heavy cloudy deep dark almost glowing plum-red one with a nice heavy lacing medium sized beige top. It smells really nice this. Lovely sweet, lots and lots of caramel here. Like the one I make myself really, and it’s well hopped indeed. It’s fruity also on the nose this. Lots of honey melon and silver birch juices. A nice aroma. The first thing to notice when tasting it is the alcohol. It’s really present here. As is the fruity yeasty tones. It’s really full-bodied, has a thick oily mouthfeel and it’s comfortably carbonated. Lots of sweetness in the taste also, but it’s really well balanced with tons of bittering hops. Caramel, fudge, nuts and lots of fruits. Ripe fruits. I’m enjoying this more and more. A bit to boozy perhaps, but a nice sipper. 09.05.2013

Bottle, 10.1%. The aroma starts off quite fruity, turning farty and fishy. Almost clear chestnuf colour. Small stable dark tan head. The flavour is very alcoholic. Quite fruity, some green apple. Spicy hop note, saazy. Distinct soy notes. Boozy. Too green.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Clear malty aroma with caramel and alcohol notes. Sweet taste of malt, caramel, alcohol and raisins. Subtle hoppy notes. Warm, sweet finish. An interesting one.

Bottle. Hazy amber beer with a small offwhite head. Fruity, hoppy, yeasty, dark fruits and spicy aroma. Hoppy, fruity, spicy, yeasty flavour. A bit to much alcoholflavour.
