Sampled at Copenhagen beer festival 2011. Darkbrown with a small brown head. Dusty mild smokey aroma, roasted malts and chocolate. Liquirice is dominant in the flavor, nice, mixed with roasted bitterness and a mild chili burning finish

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. A black one, topped by a minimal sized light beige head. Roasted malts, licorice, some chocolate, and hints, just hints, of chili. More like you sense there will be some in the flavor but not being really sure. Anyway, it’s a nice aroma, and the flavor is even better, with licorice, a light roasted touch and then the chili steps forward in just the right amount. It’s full-bodied and sweet on the palate, with a little chili burn, just like the chili needs to remind you it’s there. A rather lovely beer that I would like much more of. 110527

Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph.
Dark brown, almost black with a medium, fizzy, beige head. Aroma has clear liqourice, some sweet chocolate, a mild herbal chili note. Low carbonation, fine dry and light creamy palate. Flavour has lots of chili in the front, sweet mild roasted malts, lots of English liqourice. A fine hotness to the finish. Good dryness as well. Almost feels like a liquid chili liqourice. Nice.

Tap, Beer Festival 2011, Cph: Black with beige head. Aroma is licorice and sweet malt. Taste is better: A finely tuned balance of the rich and the creamy - with lots of licorice and roasted malt. The chili slowly creeps in with a nice magic bite. Long dry, tingling aftertaste. Sexy brew.

Bottle. Black coloured. LIght brown head. Liqoiurce, roast, coffee in the aroma. Flavour of roast, liqourice, herbs, chocolate, Medium to full bodied. Roasty bitter end, with an initial mild chilibite, which builds up and actually merry and unite with the liqouirce/chocolate very well. Nice chili beer.

Bottled. Pours deep brown, nearly black with a medium sized, beige head. Nose of licorice, chocolate and notes of chili. Sweet flavor with solid chili notes and slightly roasted malt, the finish is more dry. Medium bodied, creamy texture and soft CO2. Beer, chili, locorice and chocolate: Four favorites in one - nice!
