| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Bottle. Dark brown with ok brownish head. Aroma is sweet , malty, caramel, tobacco, a little fruity (like 50% of the U.S. raters (insert smiley here)), candy sugar with notes of licorice. Also some hoppy notes reminding me of meadows (Ahh...childhood, where have ye gone?). A little metal... Flavour is malty and sweet with dark fruits coming in along with a sour touch and a slightly bitter finish. Is there a little smoke or is just the cigaret, I had walking home from Ølbar, before this beer? I know that somewhere I most have notes on the draught version of this from Fynske Øldage 2005, and I remember being more impressed at the time. Maybe some of the other beers had just gotten to me... yespr (12443), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 28, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Kolding Vinhandel. Pours a very muddy dark brown with a fizzy, bubbly off white head. It settles as a 1cm thick head with medium bubbles. Aroma is powreful, sweet, chocolate and dried fruits and light hazel nuts. Mouthfeel is okay. Flavour has a heavy yeast presence, a clear chocolate edge with a slight sourness on top of it. There is some berries in there as well. It is actually okay - but mostly because the chocolate makes it feel a little ’fat’. faroeviking (6128), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2005 An opaque hazy brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet spicy with hints of cloves and berries. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of berries - black currant, but also with a hints of acidity. The end is dry with the sweet berries lingering. The mouthfeel is sticky. In my opinion it lacks hops. joergen (8714), Frederiksberg, Denmark
