@ Basunen 15-7-4: ganska diskret doft men en mycket stor och fyllig smak av chili och framförallt en stor söt smak av lakrits. Mycket fin balans. Gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - thanks Martin! Pours a dark reddish-brown with a fast-settling head and aromas of candy sugar plus a slightly musty herbiness reminiscent of aniseed. Initially sweet and malty on the palate, with a light hoppiness and hints of an Old Ale or Abbey Dubbel, the liquorice and chilli then cut in to provide a really good counter to the sweetness. Fascinating stuff, with the liquorice and sweetness lingering, and the chilli level being just right.

Bottle. Pours hazy brownish black with large creamy light brown head. Aroma is intense raspberry yoghurt with hints of sweet licorice. Taste is initial light acidic, then medium sweet and faint bitter. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and dominated chili and sweet licorice, but there is also notes of roasted malt, syrup, dried fruit and cane sugar.

Cunningham (5761) - Halden, NORWAY - JUN 11, 2014
Appearance: Cloudy red brownish color with a off white head that ends up in a thin layer. Some lacing.
Aroma: Mild sweet malty, licorice, fruity and some chocolate.
Palate: Medium (+) body. Slightly sweet and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation. Creamy texture.
Taste: Mild fruity, rich chilli, mild spices and licorice.
Overall impression: A lot of chilli in this after a while. A little bit to much fruity notes that where disturbing.
Personal stats: Bottle from Systembolaget web order, Sweden

Was worried about it being an ale, but the sweetness works wonders! Great beer. The chili is right there, right away, then there’s hints of something else, I’m not sure what, chocolate? And in the aftertaste, there comes the licorice. Bottle, Schouskjelleren, Oslo.
