COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: formerly known as "Roskilde Forårsbryg" at 6.5% ABV.

English: Handbrewed beer: When beer is more than beer. The aroma of orange, liqourice and hops is triggering the senses. An impressive amber coloured beer with a white head, a fresh malty flaovur, with strong liqouricenotes, a beer that lingers long on the palate giving great pleasure. Is perfect for the easter lunch or to be enjoyed cold in the spring sun. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. Brewed using malt, hops, water and yeast. Sweet orange and staranise is added.

bottle, the old 6.5% version, thanks jacob. hazy copper with a lasting off-white head; aroma of fruit salad, passionfruit, hints of chlorine; quite fruity with hints of menthol and pine and plenty of bitterness though still leaving a muted impression. i can imagine the newer, stronger version being an improvement

Cloudy orange look with profuse lightly tan head. Floral notes, orange and mandarin hints in the aroma. Light malty taste, late medium sweetnes, spiced and lightly bitter (more in the end). Resembles a belgian ale. Medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation and a very light sour finish. Ok.

500ml bottle, 6.4% abv., shared with Eirik at Schouskjelleren. Dark orange-coloured body. Great lacing from a decent off-white head. Aroma of ripe fruits and earthy malts. Dusty hops and sweet malts to the taste buds followed by a spiced bitter ending. Medium bodied. Good drinking (Oslo, 26.09.2011).

0.5L bottle, enjoyed @Schouskjelleren, Oslo. A slow gusher. A huge near-white foamy head, sitting on an unclear orangey-golden body. Predominant aroma of orange-marmelade. Also a scent of herbs/spices, and note of licorice root. Taste is sharpish and herbal. More than medium sweet, with licorice tones and light toasted maltiness. Slick mouthfeel. Sourish and quite sharp endnotes. Feels a bit unrefined, but goes well down.

Really nice fresh brew, but a little special with the fresh taste from hops and maybe the orange peel, and so the star anis with give the spicy and licrice taste. But good and I think it is good to food.

50cl bottle, purchased at a beer festival from the brewer. cloudy orange, giant thick solid offwhite head that lasts. 4++ appearance. aroma dominated by very aromatic hops. orange, pine, grapefruit, faint flowers. flavor is rather hoppy, rather dry, and unlike most other hoppy beers i get some licorice to balance. very interesting brew, resembling american hoppy beers.
