(50 cl bottle from Holte Vinlager Roskilde; BBD: August 2014) Pours dark brown with little, tan head that diminishes quickly leaving only lace. Aroma is oxydised and boozy: Thin molasses and no hops. Perhaps a hint of bourbon but not for long. Flat carbonation, medium body, watery texture and a boozy finish. Taste is aromalike - sweet, boozy and oxydised. Not a harmonious marriage between beer and cognac and not terribly pleasant either. ABV is far too high for what it is.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are nuts, caramel, malt, dried fruits, candy sugar and hops. Sweet and oily.

Bottle. Frothy off-white fair mostly deminishing head. Dark red-amber colour. Heavy malty and light hoppy candis aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Dark fruits present. Strong candis notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Cloudy dark amber color, with no head. Woody aroma, grapes, apples, alcohol, some caramel, fruit cakes. Strong mouthfeel, malt and caramel flavor, with low bitterness and high sugar content. Messy and boozy.

Clear red-brown with a small head. Aroma moderate malty (caramel, roasted) and cognac, Flavor roasted, brown sugar, cognac, barrel), and American hops. Full body with quite a lot of alcohol, almost flat.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured.Dense beige head. Aroma of dades, prunes, sweetness, vague caramel, alcohol, spice. Flavour of liqourice, ripe fruits, alcohol, sweet and syrupy, some winegums. Medium bodied. Dry spiced and fruity end with a vague bitter touch and loads of alcohol.

Bottle. Pours hazy brown with a medium creamy light tan head. The aroma is yeast, fruit, sweet caramel, raisins and alcohol. The flavour is heavy alcohol, caramel, ripe fruit, dates and sweet malt. Long alcoholic finish.

Bottle, bought @ Holte Vinlager, Roskilde.
Deep red chestnutwith a smallish, frothy, off-white head. Light fizzy. Aroma has sweet booze, some cognac, fat caramelly malts, light piney and peach. There are notes of raisins and plums, liqourice and molasses. Medium carbonation, fine fat and fairly dry mouthfeel. Flavour is mildly sweet, lots of caramel, again some sharpish herbal liqourice, light plums, mild hoppiness. Warming, slightly sharpish viniousness, some cognac booziness. Lingering, good, balancing hoppy bitterness. Quite lovely.

Unclear medium amber colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, vanilla, alcohol - cognac. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20110918]
