2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
This apple-IPA is very different because, as the name suggests, is brewed with apple syrup. Foam is moderate and the flavor is delicate of fresh green apples. Hop bitterness is high IBU, but it fits extremely well with the taste of acidity as the apples have added. Nice and tasty brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, on expiry date june 18th 2013. Hazy, light amber body, medium offwhite head. Massive aroma of apples, grassy and fruity hops, sweet caramel malt. Was really unsure how the appple syrup would work out, but I think it gives a fresh touch to both taste and aroma. Elsewhere the taste is very sweet with a good amount of fruity hops, the soraci ace is taking the front seat and delivering its good side of bubble gum and cocos. Taste is rounded off with sweet apple taste, which I can like. The beer has a warming alcohol taste and finish, balanced with a solid bitterness. As the name Humlemord (Hop murder?) indicates it seems they’ve not held back on the bittering hops here. The apple touch on the beer makes it really interesting.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a dense, finger-thick, creamy off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma is grassy and lightly fruity, with malty sweetness. Sweet, lighlty hoppy flavor, fruity, but low on bitterness. Full body and pleasant carbonation. The finish too is quite low on bitterness, at least I’d expect more bitterness judging from the name of the beer. Sort of disappointing. 121005
