COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. It’s an unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a dense, finger-thick, creamy off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma is grassy and lightly fruity, with malty sweetness. Sweet, lighlty hoppy flavor, fruity, but low on bitterness. Full body and pleasant carbonation. The finish too is quite low on bitterness, at least I’d expect more bitterness judging from the name of the beer. Sort of disappointing. 121005

Aroma has berries, vanilla, biscuits and resiny hops. Flavour is odd and sweet with hops, resin, biscuits and some alcohol. Finishes with gooseberry bush and some herbal notes. Too stuffy and weird.

Sample from bottle, FØL 2013. Slightly hazy amber colour with a small, light tan head. Nice! Sweet and fruity aroma with citrus and grapefruits, apples and caramel malts. Taste is medium to heavy sweet. Medium body, average carbonation. Finishes bitter with rich, toasted caramel malts, floral and citric hops. A bit to sweet for my tastebuds.

0.33l bottle. This is a light cloudy copper colored one with an impressive big and almost fluffy off-white top. It smells fruity, lots of peaches and citrus. Some resinous hops with tones of licorice and more fruits. Not bad. It’s really thick and powerful on the mouthfeel, and it has a small bubbly average carbonation level. Sweet and syrupy in taste, lot’s of bitter hops, and again hints of licorice. It’s really on the sweet side, and even if the hops dominate highly it still somehow feels a bit separated and non-melted together. Ends with sweet dried peaches and apricots on the tongue. 17.09.2012
