22-JUL-2011, bottle @home, from "Barleywine". Slight gush in the sink. Why all these pale gushers? Unclear amber with beige head. Yeasty sediments floating. Weak nose with grape fruit and a hint of smoke and tobaco. Taste is much the same but stronger and also with charamel and fruit. Really bitter. Fine IPA - A bit strange, but fine.

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Pour is deep amber, bordering on beige caramel. Fine, medium, creamy, off-white head. Long duration. Aroma is sweet and resiny with peach, lemons, red apple. Light spicy edge to it. Low to medium carbonation, fine dry and creamy mouthfeel. Very hoppy flavour on top of a rather sweet base. Caramel and pilsner malts with lemons, peach, grapefruit and grassy hops. Light warming feel and very bitter in the finish. Lovely, but is still a tad raw and unrefined.
