2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, rough beige head. Oh my gawd, heavy iodine aroma from the peat. Solid body, completely still, heavy roast and ashes but fortunately the peatiness is downplayed flavour wise. Boozy finish. I’ll never be a peat lover, but at least this was drinkable. 230212

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Pitch-black and opaque with a tiny, bubbly, beige film head. Heavy smoke aroma, peity and fresh, chocolate, light roasted, iodine, oak, just a hint of apple. Low carbonation, fat and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is heavy oaky, dry, bitter roasted, dark chocolate, again a bit of zesty apple, still very smoky but still amazingly balanced, really. Vinious, good deal of coffee. Lovely bitterness in the finish.
