Bottle, courtesy of Meilby. A black one, flat as a pancake, rather oily. Roasted, peated, bonfire aroma with some licorice and chocolate. Alcohol too. Quite thin on the palate, warming and soft, low on carbonation. Some dried fruits, especially raisins, in the flavor, along with roasted, chocolatey malts, peat and bonfire. Warming finsih with peat and maltyness. A quite pleasant one, but too thin, warming and unbalanced. Could certainly need more body. 120516

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, rough beige head. Oh my gawd, heavy iodine aroma from the peat. Solid body, completely still, heavy roast and ashes but fortunately the peatiness is downplayed flavour wise. Boozy finish. I’ll never be a peat lover, but at least this was drinkable. 230212
