Opaque black beer. Thick tan head. Chocolate malt nose. Light semi soft palate, dry. Lactose sweet dark malt with chocolate. Pronounced fruitiness - cherry, raspberry and a little sour orange. Finishes light and dry with more fruit and a touch of aniseed. Very nicely joined up Impy. Light and bursting with flavour. Top notch!

(25cl bottle) Pours a mahogany body with a medium khaki head. Aroma of raisins, vinous, roasted malt, chocolate, and nuts. Flavor of raisins, vinous, light chocolate, and roasted malt.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, soy sauce, prunes, and plums. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of chocolate and prunes on a powerful alcohol background, combined with medium notes of plums, brown sugar, wood, and roasted malt, the latter growing in intensity towards the finish, where a slight note of oxidation also shows up (I drink it almost 2 years old), leading to a dry, roasted, and alcoholic finish. The alcohol tickles and warms the palate, while the carbonation makes the mouthfeel a bit bubbly.

25cl bottle bb 10-9-10 thanks to bu11zeye. Poured an opaque body with a fizzy head and nice legs. Aromas of cocoa, roasty, dark fruits, alcohol and fresh coffee. Flavor is rich malt, alcohol, fresh coffee and bittersweet chocolate. Medium body and mouthfeel. Very smooth coffee bitter finish. Very good stuff!!

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The smell is malts, roasty, alcohol, more roast, and coffee. The look is clear and brown to black in color. The taste is malts, roasty, coffee beans, and slightly burnt.

(25cl bottle bb 10-9-10 thanks to bu11zeye) Pours very dark brown with a film of bubbles. Nose of dark fruit, cola, nuts, and smoke. Taste of raisins, cola, rum, semi-sweet chocolate, fudge, and smoke. Medium creamy body that has a long duration of fruits.

Very small bottle provided by bu11zeye. Pours with a black body and a large tan head. Aroma of mint, chocolate, musty, some cocoa powder. Taste is sweet, very sweet, brandy, chocolate, and cocoa. Creamy carbonation. Quite good actually.

Bottle. Frothy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head- Alas exploding bottle.
Heavy malty and modearte hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter nice chocolate flavor. Long finish.
