English: The burnt taste from the dark malt is dominant as well as well as the high carbonation making it feel alive.

Bottle. Be careful when you open this. My bottle showed a very agressive head as a brown fountain when I opened the bottle. Head: Creamy brown high and lasting. Body: I won’t be incorrect to describe it as pitch black. Roasted barley malt aroma with coffee choccolate and dried fruit notes Well balanced coffee choccolate flavor with a bit of acidic hops bitterness. Alcohol very well hidden. Low carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste.

Bottle @ EBF. Black w/ fizzy beige head. Vinous, coffee bean aroma. Sourish dry coffee and smoke. Flavor is dry espresso, bitter cocoa, some berries and dried fruits. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Slightly alcoholic, but fairly interesting Impy.

EBF2008. It’s pitch black with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice and hints of coffee. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of licorice, caramel, dry citrus and light hints of dark fruits. The body is full and it’s a nice IMPY.

Had this at European Beer festival 13-09-08 Pours dark brown without much head, maybe the head is a little light tan. Slight burnt nutty woodiness touch sweet with some soft woodiness and big liquorice taste coming through.

Almost black. Zingy hoppy aroma, also fruity. Very light body for a heavy beer. Big, but subtle. Some sherbet in the taste.

Light chocolate and very light liqourice aroma. Light chocolate body but with a thin and rather boring palate with only a hint of chocolate. Not bad.
