Clear medium to dark red amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, spicy, wood, brown sugar, light burnt malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet, sugar, candy, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light sticky. [20121110]

Bottle, bought @ Barleywine, Cph. Pours clear dark chestnut with a large, creamy, off-white head. Fine duration. Aroma is very lovely, caramel, port, light vinious, coriander, vanilla, chocolate. Low carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, chocolate, lots of port, vanilla, vinious, hazelnuts. Lingering warming roasted chestnut bitterness.
