Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is roasted caramel, fruit, light portwine, light oak and alcohol. Flavour is roasted caramel, alcohol, red fruit, yeast, light portwine and oak.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is oak, vanilla, malt, caramel. Flavour is oak, vanilla, yeast, malt, hop, alcohol, caramel, sugar, dried fruits. Full body. Nice beer.

Clear medium to dark red amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, spicy, wood, brown sugar, light burnt malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet, sugar, candy, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light sticky. [20121110]

Bottle, bought @ Barleywine, Cph. Pours clear dark chestnut with a large, creamy, off-white head. Fine duration. Aroma is very lovely, caramel, port, light vinious, coriander, vanilla, chocolate. Low carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, chocolate, lots of port, vanilla, vinious, hazelnuts. Lingering warming roasted chestnut bitterness.

From Voldby, DK. Bottled, 201212. Brown with beige head. Aroma of flora and fruit. Flavour with malt and caramel. Not much barrel here...

Bottle at Schouskjelleren. Clear ruby, lovely creamy head. Spicy nose, vanilla. Very complex, wood, nutmeg, yeast, a hint of vinegar. The port wine barrel is not intrusive, but adds another layer. Leather, tobacco.

Pours a hazy and brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, fruit, alcohol and wood. The flavor follows the nose with additional port wine. The palate is sweetness and alcoholwarmth. Overall an average beer.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. has a fruity malty spicy and weak woody aroma. Sweetish malty spicy woody caramel flavor. has a sweetish malty woody spicy finish.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is spiced, roasted mal and light yeasty. Smooth malty, yeastyand phenolic. Dry spiced, light wooden and dark caramelish. Bitter, spiced and dry roasted finish.

Bottle at Papsø’s. Clear amber/brown - white head. Amber malts, light bitterness, fruity, wooden notes, wine notes, red grapes, light spicy notes, roasted malts, high sweetness, cookie notes, star anis, soapy (coriander) notes. Not that balanced.
