Strong taste, clear and direct, but without the warmth of a regular porter. The coolness of the palate gives it a different experience. Feels like they used more of a "salmiac" lakrids than a sweet one? I might be wrong. Enjoyed it even more on tap.

Bottle bought in Denmark, pours near jet black with a beige head, Port and liquorice on the nose, plus a hint of treacle. Initially smooth and syrupy palate quickly dries and gains notable treacle toffee and liquorice flavours, sweetening as it does so to finish salty-sweet with liquorice and a touch of dry bitterness.
