Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thick dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt - reminding me more of a stout than a Schwarzbier. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hard roasted malt, leading to a very bitter and roasted finish. More like a stout.

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee acidic notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090516]

It is black with a huge, creamy, light brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and licorice. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, licorice and the finish is dry and citrussy. It isn’t very complex, but still very nice.

31-JUL-2009, Bottle @home. Almost black (!) with off-white head. Nice dark roasted aroma and taste. Soap (in a good way), coffee, and vanilla. Quite complex for a not so strong beer. You certainly made up for the "Røgøl #2" :-)
