Bottle 50cl.
Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, coffee acidic notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090516]

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thick dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt - reminding me more of a stout than a Schwarzbier. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hard roasted malt, leading to a very bitter and roasted finish. More like a stout.

CBF09. 50 cL bottle. Pours pitch black and with a small tan head. Roasted malt and dark chocolate aroma. Semi sweet, roasted malt and slight hoppy flavoured. Quite bitter. Light acidic touch into the finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours black and opaque with a small off-white head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and a little chocolate. Surprisingly light in body, some notes of burned malt and licorice. Dry, lightly bitter finish. 160509

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2009. Black coloured with a small beige head. Roasted aroma of liquorice with notes of chocolate. Roasted flavour of liquorice and chocolate with notes of pepper. Roasted finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty grainy aroma with some hints of licorice. Roasted malty flavor with some hints of chocolate with some bitter hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with some bready hints.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2009 Bottle at KØ09. Roasted aroma. Black colour. Small stable brown head. The mouthfeel is thin like a Schwarzbier. But not much else resembles the style. Quite roasted flavour, some soy, some coffee, mostly roasted notes. The aftertaste gets a bit grainy, but quite nice beer. 6 3 6 3 15

Bottle at KØ09. Mild roasted aroma. Black colour, no head. The flavour is mildly roasted, slightly vinous. Good mouthfeel, prickly carbonation. Mildly sweet. 7 3 7 3 15

Sample at CPH beerfestival. Small head with short duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate and coffee.

Bottle at Københavns Øldage 2009, Valby. Roasted, dark bread, dryness, burned, berries, barley, licorice, light chocolate. Nice - I like schwartzbier.

Botella. Black colour. Roasty maltiness with chocolate and liquorice in the aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has roasted malt with chocolate and liquorice.
