Bottled. Clear nut brown, small head. Fruity and lightly roasty.Medium sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness. A bit limp and edgy.

330ml bottle courtesy of Jens. Aroma is light malty and sweet. Appearance is dark amber with a small white head. Taste is malty, sweet. Light bitter finish. Overall a very nice and drinkable beer.

From the tab. Redbrown, clear. white foam that lasts long. light sour aroma with a hint of malt. malt flavour with light hops. low filling with average carbon. Good lange aftertaste

Bottle at the hotel in Berlin. Pours clear, light brown with a fine, creamy white head. Soft caramel and toast nose. Sweet flavor, some toasty sugar, dry leaves, light sticky caramel. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Semi-dry, toasted malt finish, mild leafy and herbal hops. Very bland, though there is a decent lingering dry and slightly earthy bitterness that adds just enough character to keep it mildly interesting.

Beim Trinken fällt natürlich das Malzaroma am meisten ins Gewicht, dann erinnert der Geschmack mich an irgend etwas...es schmeckt irgendwie nach Salzstangen finde ich, ja das trifft es. Leicht malzig, meistens recht süß und im Abgang etwas herb. Das Bier an sich geht in Ordnung, aber dass mich das Ganze an Salzstangen erinnert stört mich schon etwas. Das Detmolder Landbier in der Plopp-Flasche ist von dunkler Farbe. Der Schaum ist feinporig. Geschmacklich geht es deutlich in Richtung Malz mit röstigem Unterton. Leicht süßlich das Ganze. Den Abschluß bildet ein malziger, trockener Abgang. Das Detmolder Landbier ist auf Grund seiner Sanftheit gut trinkbar, wenngleich hier auch viel Standardkost geboten wird.Test vom 12.11.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass dark, small head. Starts very mild, modest malty-dry. Finish still mild, almost washy, modest fruity-dry. Okay.

Bottle from Bierzwerg, flip top. Poured almost brown color, white head. Bready malty aroma, some roastedness. Flavor is bread and caramel malt. Finish is quite long and pleasant. Nice, enjoyable beer.

Clear dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty scent. Sweet, malty, sugary, herbal taste. Medium full mouthfeel, medium dryish bitterness. Some caramel and grainy aftertaste.

Bottle purchased 12/08/2010 in Winterberg, Germany. Colour is dark brown with evidence of.....purple?!? Low head surprisingly. Nose: Christmas pudding, dried dark fruits, Bolivia cocoa, walnut. Taste: Medium sweet, light bitter, light sour. Nutty body with icing sugar sprinkled about....a bit 1-dimensional. Finish has a smal bitter blast. Decent.

Bottled, tnx Ulf! Very dark amber color with thick light beige head. Layered lacing, malty nose. Aroma is malts, caramel, herbs. Flavour is similar with plum and raisin. Very well-balanced and drinkable one!
