COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Thusnelda ist bekanntlich die Ehefrau von Arminius und stellt mit dem Abguss der berühmten Thusneldastatue in der Ausstellung „Mythos“ eines der zentralen Exponate dar. Sie gab ihren Namen für ein kühles, rotblondes Bier, das seit dem 15.05.2009 mit dem Start des Ausstellungsdreiklangs „Imperium – Konflikt – Mythos, 2000 Jahre Varus-Schlacht“ auch im Handel erhältlich ist. Auch die Kanzlerin hat das Bier bei ihrem Walkaround in Detmold schon verkostet und war zufrieden mit dem Geschmack. Ebenso wie alle anderen Ehrengäste, die das Getränk in den passend gestalteten Gläsern zu trinken bekamen. Damit aber auch der freundliche und sexy Charakter des Bieres und die passende Sichtweise von Thusnelda und den Römern nicht zu kurz kommt, konnte für das unverwechselbare Design des Thusnelda-Bieres der bekannte Karikaturist Haralds Klavinius gewonnen werden. Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, vegetable, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and cardboard acrid bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091113]

Into the glass pours a golden yellow blond beer, with good, staunch head. It smells a slightly like sweet hops. Starts suprisingly tart, very hoppy, slightly grassi. The bitter hops come through very well. Bitter-tart hoppy finish, with well grassy nuances!

Fader Geschmack bereits zu Beginn, trocken, etwas bitter, leer. Das Bier iwrd aber nicht besser sondern verharrt auf dieser Stufe. Es wird lediglich zum Ende herber. Schlecht. 6/4/4/4/6/4

Swing top bottle. Thanks Pinball. It pours bit hazy yellow with a creamy longlasting white head. The aroma is hay, caramel, lots of fruit, cereal and hops. The flavour is hay, malty brew mash, caramel and fruit. Light hoppy and fruity finish.

Bottled. The label looks good, but the beer is golden with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and a bit of minerals.
