4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
First I have to say, why dont you bottle this? Got this on draft at the Detroit beer company. Bartender would not give me a growler despite my pleas. Poured a SRM of about 12. Lots of soapy lacing on the glass. Lots of sweet malt aroma with tangerines and Resin. Flavor is much of the same. Beautifully balance of malt and hops. Medium/full body with a creamy mouthfeel. Lasting hop bitterness on finish. Well done.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap poured into a shaker. A surprisingly "juicy" and sweet tangerine aroma pops off this beer with a bit of a spicy note (coriander?) and other tropical fruits. It pours a foggy orange amber color with a white head. A creamy, medium thick ring and a good blanket of surface head retains. A light, "stringy" lace is left behind. The taste is highly bitter, but balanced nicely by a medium sweetness. For a double IPA, this slick textured beer has a surprisingly mellow, medium body (especially when compared to their standard IPA). It also has a soft carbonation to it. The finish is a pleasant combination of caramel and citrus. It finished dry and crisp. A resin and/or grassy aftertaste is left behind, but it’s rather light and short.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at the brewery. Deep amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is intensely fruity. Pine and orange peel with a soft malt sweetness backing it. A touch of fruitiness and a subdued hop bitterness . Lightly sweet malt backbone. The bitterness is really restrained but the beer is very tasty. Doesn’t taste at all like a 9.6% ABV beer. It’s fairly fruity with a dryish, medium crystal malt flavour. Sort of hoppy red ale-ish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler shared by Hophead22 at the Bruery 1st Anniversary Party. Pours hazy orange with no head. Aroma is citrus and pine and a bit of malts sweetness. Flavor was a load of very smooth bitterness with citrus and pine once again, and maybe some honey or caramel sweetness to back it up. Medium bodied, low carbonation, refreshing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cloudy, slightly amber, orange with thick white head. Aroma strong of citrus hops, ever so slightly floral, pine, and grass. Flavor is similar, but it is surprisingly fresh and easy to drink. Quite nicely bitter and very refreshing.
