on tap-pours a disappearing white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain. Taste is sweet grain, secondary/faint earthy hops. Light side of medium body.

Draft sample at MBG Winterfest 2009. Poured a clear pale color with a moderate fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable brew.

It is okay. Surely in the Czech camp. Not too much diacetyl. Reminiscent of Czech lagers but not as good.

Sample at GABF on 9-18-2010. Comes a light gold with a nich fluffy white head. Aroma of malt, hops and some citrus. Tastes somewhat sweet with some hop bitterness. Pretty good lager.

draft sampler at the brewpub - Odd, I would have thought the lager was their most common beer, but it’s not entered here. Oh well, it was quite forgettable. It pours the expected yellow with thin white head, smells lightly malty, tastes lightly malty, is thin, and finishes clean. It beats a Bud, anyway.

On tap DTW. Clear gold. Faint aroma of light pils malts. Flavor matches with balanced hop bitterness, very very faintly floral. Clean, but I wanted more hops.

12oz bottle from The Beer Depot in Ann Arbor, MI. Pours a clear, golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet and grainy with a light, crisp grassy hopping. Flavor is similar. Sweeter, grainy pale malts with a light, fruity grass. This does finish very dry with a light, grassy bitterness along with a touch of sweetness and earth before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a clean, easy drinking lager. Decent grassy dryness and a somewhat sweeter, grainy malt. This wasn’t a bad pale lager.

12oz bottle, no date. Pours a clear golden with a 1/2 finger white head--tiny bubbles with pretty decent retention as far as pale lagers are concerned. Decent lacing for the style. Aroma of corn syrup, hay, and a hint of biscuits. Biscuity sweet malts dominate the flavor as well with some light noble hops. Mild bitterness in the semi-dry finish. Other than that, not a lot else going on. Light carbonation with a light creamy body. Definitely one of the better pale lagers I’ve had--I can’t pick out any flaws.

Tasted 4/28/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a golden hue. White layer of head. Grainy nose. Light bodied and crisp. Mildly tart. Easy and smooth. Touch off dry and grainy. Totally solid for the style, but the style itself lacks a certain degree of palate. But good for what it is!

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Tap: Golden body, light chill haze with a thin layer of white foam that transgresses to a measly skin quickly. Aroma is mild; notes of spicy Saaz hops, grass, & faintly sweet pilsner malt. Mild bread & honey. Taste is crisp & clean, though somewhat lacking. Notes of bread, pilsner malt, grass & spicy leaves from the Saaz, & the lightest tough of lemon zest in the finish. Some faint metallic notes here & there with a yeasty coating finish. Okay lager, overall.
