Hazy orange gold. Large chinook hop presence on the palate-very piney and resinous. Big palate; lots of hop...again, big pine and resin flavors. Good. Big...very hoppy.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a cloudy light orange-amber color with a nice 1 cm. head that lingers a bit. Aroma is very floral and piney but lots of malt comes through too. Taste is great, lots of flowers, pine, citrus and some fruitiness too. Solid malt backbone gives it some nice body. Very bitter and dry finish. One of my favorite IPA’s.

On draft at the brewery. Cloudy reddish orange pour, aroma is piney with some caramel malts. Taste is citrus and piney, good bite. Pretty good IPA.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dogbrick (6058) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 8, 2012
On draught at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazed amber color with a medium off-white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of piney hops, fruit and sweet malt. The finish is somewhat bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pawola22 (3107) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 16, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazed, golden-amber colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is pretty nice with lots of citrusy pines and florals consisting of grapefruits and oranges with a few resins. Medium sweet caramel offers a nice balance as well. Flavor is similar. Citrusy grapefruits and oranges up front with a nice mix of pines and florals. Caramel comes in to balance with a moderate sweetness before the hops grow a touch into a balanced finish where this is dry, citrusy, somewhat resiny, and has a moderate bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a smooth, medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a very solid IPA and a real pleasant surprise. Well balanced and nicely hopped with lots of citruses.

Tap at the brewpub. Amber pour with a thin white head. The aroma is soft and orangey. Nice light sweetness along with a touch of frutiness. Soft and lightly hoppy with a kiss of juicy fruity malts. Lingering fruity flavour over a softly hoppy finish. A fresh, tasty IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 HopBurp (73) - Michigan, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Last night on tap at DBC before Tigers game. Pleasant surprise--$2 pints and BBQ specials for a birthday celebration. I was very impressed with this IPA!! Great balance and a perfect amount of hops for me to session Excellent finish and the hops tasted so fresh--citrus bang. Perfect for a summer day like yesterday. Well done DBC and thanks for setting the table for a great night!. BTW, best BBQ brisket I have ever had (better than slows, believe it or not)--should make this a regular menu item.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Braudog (5028) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - JAN 28, 2010
Draft pint at the brewpub. Do you ever eat a plate of food and say to yourself, "Yeah, that wasn’t bad," but you could kinda tell the cook followed a recipe note by note? That’s kinda how I felt about this one (and another Detroit BC offering) ... not really bad, if a bit flat, but just boring and uninspired. (#3812, 1/23/2010)
