Our example of a classic Tripel is bright yellow in color. Head is big, dense and creamy. Aroma is a complex, spicy phenolic matrix of notes. The beer’s sweetness comes from both the pale malts and the higher alcohol. The bitterness is up there for a beer with such a light body for its strength. The lighter body comes from the use of Belgian candy sugar which not only lightens the body, but also adds complex alcohol aromas and flavors. You’ll love it!

Light colored tripel that doesn’t have the complexity I would expect from a tripel, even an entry level one like this. Bitterness in it seems out of place and almost like an afterthought.
