Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 16, 2004 [Vintage 1992 - sampled 2004] A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol, dust, peach, and oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt and fruit - especially peach. The alcohol runs burning over the tongue and in the throat - and still the body is surprisingly thin for an 8% ABV beer. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden May 26, 2002 Sampling of the 1990 version in 2002: Pale amber, no head. Fruity aroma. Malty, sweet and mature. Short, slightly dusty flavour. Good, but probably over the hill agewise. Papsoe (10517), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 1, 2005 Updated: Jan 8, 2006(Bottle 25 cl) Quite pale, hazy. Some sweetness, lots of yeast and fruit with some hoppiness to create a nice balance. Nice Tripel. 180493 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 17, 2004 Orangey-gold colour. Loads of fruit - banana, melon, some phenols. Very sweet, candyish flavour, maybe some mapley notes.
