3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
75 cl. bottle @ my parents, shared with my father and brothers, gift from Rick and Pim. Light golden with a fine white head. Aroma is fruity champagnelike with a hint of malt. Taste is rather sweet. Carbonation is very high which makes it feel like a real champagne. A well executed experiment in my book, this champagne beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle shared at a 2013 brewnight. Poured into flutes, as advised, to complete the champagne feel I guess. Clear pale yellow, good effervescence. Lemon and sweet bread aromas. Dry taste. Elegant finish, very nice. Very expensive though.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Mooie heldere goudkleur, veel koolzuur. Veel schuim. Ruikt zacht, naar banaan en licht kruidig. Smaakt fantastisch, heel erg zacht. Afdronk zoet, bijna geen bitter. Topper!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle @ home. Pours hazy yellow with a tall frothy white head. Spicy sweet nose of ripe bananas, ginger, dough, yeast and mild charcuterie notes. Medium mouth feel with lots of refreshing champange like carbonation. Taste is up front sweet with ripe bananas, honey, ginger and some mild pepper plus grape. It finishes drier of pale pilsner like maltiness and notes of citrus and ginger lingering.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from LCBO. Pours hazy yellow with floaty bits. Aroma is typical spicy Belgian ale. The taste, however, was not typical. A spicy sweet explosion, with a slightly dry finish. Quite different, and very enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy golden with a tall, dense white head that remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has notes of ginger, coriander, lemongrass, honey and Belgian yeast. The flavour is quite sweet throughout with honey and pale malts, along with notes from the nose and a gingery spiciness. The finish is long and spicy, with a moderate malty sweetness. On the palate it is medium in body with a smooth creamy texture and intense carbonation. Overall, a nice strong blond ale with an intense complex spiciness. 2013-12-25
