First brewed at Bosteels, transfered to the Champagne region of France were it is treated much like a champagne with the bottles inverted and the yeast expunged and bottle recorked.

750ml champagne bottle. 2010 vintage. An awesome friend of mine bought this for me on my birthday at Against the Grain in Toronto. Pours pale yellow with a tint of gold. Huge white head in champagne flutes that dissipates rather quickly into a thin white cap. carbonation is not as active as i’d expect visibly. Minimal lacing. Aroma of malt, yeast, ginger, mild hops, straw, white wine, mild citrus, mild caramel. Taste is medium sweet with a mildly dry average duration finish. 11.5% ABV is hardly noticeable. full bodied with spritzy carbonation. Unique and exceptional. A real treat! Would prefer this to "real" Champagne any day.

Bottle. Golden colour with a sparkling white head. Floral malt, citrus, yeast aroma. Flavour is yeasty, citrus, some caramel, fruit. A rather odd beer. Not as fresh and sparkly as champagne, but it sure is something different.

Apple notes and fairly dry nose at first, but taste is rather more sweet. Paired excellently with some gruyere! As a beer perfectly in the sweetness range, but given the "champagne" comparisons perhaps a little misleading... Nice overall

Bottle from Parkhill. Great, complex. Aromas of citrus, dough, hay, honey. Taste is sweet, with bitter and sour notes, long length. Palate is syrupy, full bodied. Yellow, with a frothy head.

75cl from Carrefour (Belgium) in good company. Golden yellow with a great head. High carbonation but a rather normal to the eye. The difference is the aroma and flavour, and makes it unique, not necessarily the best beer in the world but one you should taste at least once in a life time. Fruity aroma with notes of lemon. The flavour starts with a sweet fruity flavour with some flower notes. But in the end you discover that after all you are drinking a beer, as it gets bitter and dry with cereal notes.

Pale yellow, rich fluffy white head. Rich, fresh, sparkling brut-like aroma of pears, lemon, flower petals and lemon. Refreshing fruity flavour of lime, pear, fruity malt, lemon and melon. Dry mouthfeelo. Soft alcholic notes in the back of the throat. Long champagne like fruity finish with a small alcohololic note

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Really amazing beer with complexity and yet smoothness of flavours that I never tasted in anything beer-like before

Bottle in Rome, champagne like beer, even with bubbles like in champagne, beautiful in appearance when served in glass, quickly disappearing head, herbal aroma, light sweet in flavour and finish. N

Pours a cloudy apple cider colour. Very fizzy. Amazing aromas. Floral, yeasty, citrus, dried spices.... very nice. Sweet and bready... some citrus with a slighty bitter soapy and citrus finish. Bubbly on the palate, yet surprisingly full bodied. Excellent.

75cl bottle, got it for my birthday. Aroma is sweet, grain, a bit alcohol, orangezest, bread. Clear champagnecoloured, loads of sparkling and with a lasting and lacing off-white head. Very sweet taste, vinous, fruity, orangezest. Fizzy mouthfeel and a light bitter finish. It was ok, something newer for me.

The bottle presentation is beautiful. Pours a clear pale straw color with a white champagne-esque head that settles to larger bubbles. The nose is of light golden fruit with apple, pear, grape, slight citrus and bread. The taste starts with notes of fruity sweetness, spices, funk and yeast with hints of white grapes and pear. The finish is slightly phenolic with pleasant malty flavors in the background. The complexities are more pronounced the warmer it gets.
