First brewed at Bosteels, transfered to the Champagne region of France were it is treated much like a champagne with the bottles inverted and the yeast expunged and bottle recorked.

Pours like the finest champagne with bubbles so small you can hardly spot them rising up the surface, you better watch out for that big head of foam attacking the unexpecting one. I'm a big fan of lambic, and this awesome beer has some resemblance of great vintage lambics. This beer is however a little bit to the sweet side, but not too sweet.. It's very balanced and it's totally made of awesome. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Calais Vins. Pours straw coloured with a layer of white froth. Sweet and spicy with champagne like sparkle. Finishes dry and quite bitter. Very nice.

Excellent !!!

750ml bottle poured in a Karmeliet tulip. A: First of all, bottle art. Just beautiful. Looks like a champagne bottle. A labeled cork and a small book explaining the producing and fermentation processes. Pours a yellow to orange clear color. A huge bubbled and sparkling head is formed. The retention is low, however it never disappears totally, leaving a bubble thin layer and some lacings S: Very sweet in the nose, quite fruity too. Strong notes of peach l, apples, white grapes. Also strong on vanilla and Honey. Belgian yeasts and finally some malts. Reminded me her sister Karmeliet T: Follows the nose. Sweet upfront. Peach, apple, grapes. Vanilla and honey. Belgian yeasts and malts. In overall a sweet and fruity beer. Hoppy bitterness is very very mild in the end M: Creamy molasses body with a huge expected champagne carbonation. Sweet mouth sensation from the beginning til the end O: Great beer. Very tasty. Strong Belgian character. At the same time, very unique [ BA Review @ 3/17/2012 ]

Large group tasting with many commenting on the champagne comparison that I just didn’t find. Pale yellow. Served a bit warmer than the suggested severely chilled.Very effervescent like champagne with little head retention. Plenty of fruityness (some grapefruit characteristics), but with the yeast qualities of fine Belgian beer and definitely a warmth from the alcohol. Tried and tried again to see if I could place a flavor found in the finish to that of another Belgian without success. This is a truly fine beer, but I feel most will appreciate it as such rather than a champagne. That said, I enyoy it over champagne by far unless you’re going to be buying.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2014 75cl bottle shared. Happy birthday to me! Pours clear light golden with a thick bubbly foamy white head. Lots of bubbles. Light sweet smell with floral and yeasty notes. Taste is also sweet with caramel and fruity notes (orange, grapes, peach). Some yeast again and light alcoholic finish. Less sparkling and sweeter than what I was expecting. Very good.

Bottle. Pours golden in color with a foamy whitish head. White grapes, apple, hints of spicyness and lemony notes in aroma. Slightly tart mouthfeel. White wine, apple and pear in taste as well, but also notes of lemon and summer meadow appears later on. Sweet fruity bready notes in finish with a spicy twist in the end.

75cl bottle from Vanuxeem, drunk in the garden. Pours clear gold with sweet yeasty aroma. Taste is super fine bubbles, honey, sweet grain & vanilla with lusciously sweet background tripel esters. Very nice indeed.

Bottle, tasting at Appellation Wines. Slightly hazy golden body with a thin white head. Light lacing. Classic Belgian aroma of peppery spice and yeast. Flavour of lemon meringue, yeast and straw. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Incredibly easy drinking for its strength.
