Bottle from Parkhill. Great, complex. Aromas of citrus, dough, hay, honey. Taste is sweet, with bitter and sour notes, long length. Palate is syrupy, full bodied. Yellow, with a frothy head.

Bottle. The seller told me to leave the bottle lying down in the fridge for at least 12 hours before opening - otherwise it would gush out!! A beautiful clear yellow color with a large fizzy head that quickly disappears. Aroma is fruity with citrus, grape and very wine-like. Very lively carbonation. Sweet flavor, slightly spicy and alcoholic. Has a very nice light bitterness in the finish. This is a great welcome-drink or can subsitute champagne at any time. A must try !

750ml bottle, vintage 2002. Pours clear golden in color with full foam white head which last thru-out, heavy carbonation. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and citrus. Taste is sweet and yeasty with clean finish. The no alcohol taste for a beer at 11.5% but you will feel it. Oustanding BSA.

Pours a clear dark gold, with noisy white head. The nose is honey, floral, wheat, and coriander, with other complex scents I can pin down. The flavor is sweet as well with a complex and well balanced following of the aroma. A treat of and ale.

2005 bottle. Cork and cage nearly took my head off when I opened it. Bright golden colour, crystal clear with a huge rocky head. Fantastic spicy aroma. Soft apricot and peach with fresh baked pie crust maltiness. Soft yeasty spiciness with a bright spiciness, peach and apple fruitiness. Very creamy palate, soft mint, custard apple and vanilla. It starts to get a bit sticky as it warms up, but it never becomes unbalanced. Excellent complexity, great floral aromatics, violets, roses and lavender behind the peach and apple/melony fruit. An excellent concept and very well-executed.

Bought by a stranger at the Thirsty Munk and shared with the bar--thanks again. Beautifully presented in champagne flutes, golden with tiny bubbles and light head. Floral spice aromas and flavors of anise, cloves, honey--well balanced and elegant. A memorable and impressive experience.
