grandet (300), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 24, 2008 Bottle. Golden pour with a ton of bubbles and a huge head. Very different aroma of fruit and flowers. Very complex and interesting flavor, first hits ya with some fruit, then some flowers and then alcohol. Alot of carbonation and bubbles in the mouth. Quite interesting and expensive (26$)Not bad though. Worth a try.
badgerben (3001), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 21, 2008 Tasted July 9, 2008; Rating #3000: Many thanks to Skyview for providing a fine beer to celebrate #3000 with! Dark copper color with a large head. Big aroma of cloves, allspice and some licorice. Monster clove flavor. Lots of spice. More anise. Yeasty. A bit of wheat towards the finish. I’m not sure if I’d pay the price for it, but it’s a pretty solidly tasty beer. BoBoChamp (329), Gent, Belgium Jul 21, 2008 75cl, brew anno 2007, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, yet very strong, clear, good head, good brew, but not worth the high price joohefner (379), Isla Vista, California, USA Jul 2, 2008 A gold white wine color with a dense white head of medium sized bubbles that slowly glide down the side of the glass. Strongly sweet and spicy aroma with a light floral perfume. Thick and slick body. Flavor is an intense honey and orange sweetness with a strong clove spiciness. Very rich and strong. I recommend sharing this with someone and will lower the price if you split it. leroyneiman (9), Nashville, Tennessee, USA does not count Jun 23, 2008 Pours golden. Pours lightly hazy bright golden with a medium, very fizzy white head that almost immediatly disappears. Fizzes along nicely afterwards with lots of bubbles creating a continuing film of foam. Impressive looks for a beer. Aroma is very fruity, lots of oranges, lemons, apples. A good deal of coriander as well. Very high carbonation, some oiliness to it. Flavour is very champagne-like, sweetnes with lots of slightly tarty fruits, apples, oranges and vanilla and coriander mixing in well. It’s very vinious as well. Truly a remarkable beer - expensive, though.
