4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bought by a stranger at the Thirsty Munk and shared with the bar--thanks again. Beautifully presented in champagne flutes, golden with tiny bubbles and light head. Floral spice aromas and flavors of anise, cloves, honey--well balanced and elegant. A memorable and impressive experience.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poors like a good proseco: light yellow, near white with lasting nice head. Nicely carbonized. Smells of herbs, coriander, hay. Tastes of alcohol and honey making it unevenly sweet and tart to be really appreciated.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Glass austrinken. Trotz Edelerscheinung für mich nur geschmackicher Durchschnitt. Enttäuschend!

Complex while not overwhelming. Good alternative for the omnipresent prosecco.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very well balanced. Comes together beautifully - the whole champagne angle isn’t overdone in the least. Pours golden clear with bubbly foam. Fizzy carbonation, as expected. Some light florals, sweet malt and light barrel. Great palate, booze well-hidden. Bottle from lcbo.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Aroma: yeast, sweetness, corriander, herbs. Color is golden with white head, which stays for some time. Taste is very sweet with strong alcohol and some bitterness thrown in. There are also hints of herbs and bitterness. Carbonation is fizzy, its almost like sparkling wine. Overall: really didn’t like this one. The strong tastes of sweetness and alcohol kill almost everything else.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden pour, huge bubbly white head. Big aroma or yeast, tropical fruit, and loads of sweet bready malts. This is basically an over carbonated tripel of you ask me. Carbonation is creamy, and pleasant. As the beer warms the yeast gets overwhelming. This is nothing special, and not worth the price tag.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle - Grass, lemon, spices and yeast. Bubbly gold with a rich head. Sweet honey, light citrus, coriander and a bit booze. Wonderful, can’t believe it took me so long to try this. Light, flavourful, the champagne style bottling adds a superb look and palate.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle gushing quite a bit, had to wait a while for foaming to subside. Very subtle aroma of belgian yeast, sweet malt, a bit of alcohol and some interesting spice (almost like a nutmeg or allspice). Very light golden color, white head, with amazing long lasting bubbling. A very beautiful beer. Taste has more intense flavors of belgian yeast and a bit of farmyard character. Quite sweet on the finish, not much hop bitterness at all. Alcohol well hidden. Quite carbonated and light bodied. A pretty unique beer, although not super complex.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
FROM NOTES: June 28, ’12
A: Pours an extremely clear pale yellow with a lot of visible carbonation. A two fingers very thin feeling head and bright white in color. Some head retention and average lacing.
A: Aromas of sweetness and grapes, again, reminds me of champagne. T: Some champagne flavors, albeit more enjoyable IMHO, with a complexity and balance in taste with sweet grape highlights.
P: Light bodied with a heavy amount of carbonation, could easily be described as effervescent. There is some amount of dryness in the finish.
O: I couldn’t taste the alcohol and the carbonation really balanced out the sweetness of this beer. I’ve had one, and it was good, but I won’t break the bank to drink it again, even though the label is pretty astute.
