COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is intended to be a sensory assault for hop lovers. At 8.0% ABV, four hop additions during the brew process, and a final wallop of excessive Columbus dry-hopping, this beer is meant to say one thing: MORE HOPS! Perfect for these cool winter nights, The Deviant is a returning favorite from the little brewery in Lyons, Colorado that started the Canned Revolution!

On tap at Liquid and Solids...8% APA, eh? Pours with a lightly hazed amber-golden hued body with a small white head. Aromas of hops, citrus, quite dank, CTZ, mango. Flavors are hoppy, dank, herbal and a bit minty even. Medium bubbles, dry finish.

Pours clear orange with persisten off-white head & lacing. Heady, huge, hop aroma filled with grass & floweers. Huge hoppy palate, more flowers, grapefruit rind, grass...bitter,bitter, persistently bitter finish.

On tap at Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons, CO. Rusty orange pour with a creamy off-white head. Surprisingly understated aroma of tangerines and light floral hops. Nice hop-assertive flavor of pine and citrus with a nice malt balance. Easy drinking yet pleasing to the hop lover. Very good overall.

Draft at Oskar blues, pours deep golden with white head. Nose of pine and grapefruit and pine. Flavors have a solid fresh hoppiness and piney goodness, grapefruit, honeydew, good bitterness throughout. Nice brew.

(draft at Old Chicago on Woodmen Rd, 1/29/11). Cloudy copper color. Medium off white head. Moderate citrus hop aroma. Flavor of the same, with strong bitterness. Long duration. Strong bitter finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Good lacing.

On tap at the tasty weasel. Orange pour with a fluffy head and orange peel, pine, resin, and citrus, with a slightly gritty bready aftertaste. Medium-light body thins out amid APA-level bitterness. Only difference from regular Dale’s appears to be the aggressive dry-hopping.

(Draught) cloudy bright orange with few bubbles. Nose of pine, orange peel and other candied citrus fruit. Taste of very bitter pine, spicy pepper, alcohol and malted grain. Finish is just way too bitter for me to enjoy it, and not sweet enough. I’m sure hopheads would love this though.
