Orange peel nose. Clear golden, thin head. Overripe orange flavor. Lemongrass finish. Noticeable Belgian character, but could use a little more.

On tap at Boylan’s in Charlottesville... Served in a plastic cup... Good foamy thin off-white head. Apparently clear amber color. Good, more full lace. Nice smooth lighter carbonation, dry finish. Tasty belgian fruitiness, light banana, light esters. Light bitter taste, zesty sweetness. Some vanilla. Nice creaminess. Good stuff for sure.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jgb9348 (4027) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Clear golden coloured body with a copper glow and a thin, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of yeast, hay, grass, white grapes and a bit of light hops. Light-bodied; Sharp grassy and herbal hop notes with a lot of white grape sweetness, some light malt notes and a bit of mild, yet flavourful malt. Aftertaste nice and airy with a lot of herbal and floral notes with a good complex finish. Overall, a nice and relatively mild hay and grassy flavoured beer with a touch of hops and a touch of yeast - not as good as other beers from the brewery, but not bad at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 01-August-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 03-September-2012.

A nice pale ale with that traditional spiciness youd expect from belgian beers.

Poured into a snifter. Big thanks to SteveFinny for this.
3.0 A: Clear yellow orange color. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention is just shy of average. A few random specs of lacing are left.
3.0 S: Super clean overall. Big grassiness and a light peachy fruitiness. Not much from the yeast, which is disappointing. Not bad, but boring.
3.0 T: Plenty of grassiness again with an herbal earthiness. Again, nothing from the yeast. Not bad, but nothing notable either.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a light spritziness to it. Good enough here.
3.0 D: Not bad, but needs some more flavor.

Draft Another ale tasted at Sedona in Midlothian, VA. The ale poured a clear true golden color with a large head initially. The head dissapated with lacing. The beer had a bright taste. Some bitterness with lemon and grapefruit flavors. Light on the tongue and easy to drink. A good beer for all times.

Draft at Rustico. Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was a mild, slighty sweet malt with plenty of yeast notes. Flavor was nice, Belgian yeast notes and malts. Tasty.

4oz pour at Meridian Pint, totally clear gold with one ring of white head. Nose is nice, fruity, a little root vegetables, some candy sugar, some light citrus. Flavor is more sweet, much more sugar, some lemon, some grapefruit. Fairly clean. Medium bodied, dry finish.

On tap at RFD in DC. Pours clear light yellow. Nose is slightly sweet, no discernible hops. Palate is fuzzy, can’t distinguish itself in hoppy qualities or the sweet belgian yeastiness that you might look for here. Flavors just don’t come out right...it’s muddled.
